Congratulations to Dr. Chan on winning a prestigious competition at American Urological Association

 


Robert C. Chan, M.D., a recent graduate of the Continence, Neurourology, and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at Houston Methodist Hospital and of the Urology Residency at Baylor College of Medicine, won 1st place in the prestigious Fellows Essay Research Competition at the 2014 American Urological Association South Central Section annual meeting. His prize winning submission highlights the novel role of nerve growth factor as a biomarker for voiding dysfunction in women.

About Dr. Chan: Dr. Chan currently serves as the Director of the Center for Voiding Dysfunction at Northwoods Urology of Texas. He is the north Houston area’s first fellowship trained urologist specializing in female urology, neurourology, and incontinence. Dr. Chan offers minimally invasive options for surgical treatment of pelvic organ prolapse and complex incontinence with the use of the DaVinci robotic surgical system, as well as general urologic care.
