You’ll want to give yourself a week to recover. In addition, you should know that semen can remain in your system for up to 6 months. Keep that in mind if you plan on having sex soon after your operation. You will want to include more measures of birth control just to ensure your partner does not become pregnant until that 6 month period is over.
