I’m Russell Libby with Northwoods Urology of Texas. And today we’re gonna be talking about boosting your testosterone by means other than giving yourself an injection of testosterone. Testosterone is a hormone that the body produces specifically the testicles produce in the men that serves to make us more manly.
Gives us energy, gives us sex drive, allows for us to perform our manly acts. Sometimes men see me for testosterone that is too low and they often ask me, “Is there any way I can give myself “a higher testosterone level and make me feel better “without actually injecting myself “or using a gel for testosterone?” And the answer is yes. Some of the things that affect our testosterone level are age, our weight, our lifestyles.
So what I would recommend is really focusing on maybe some weight loss, making sure that you’re eating a proper diet, that we’re doing everything we can in our daily lives to make sure that we live healthy lives. Giving testosterone is one way to get us back to a normal level but there are other ways. In addition to healthy lifestyle, there are medications that can help support the testicle to produce more testosterone. And one of these medications is called clomiphene citrate or Clomid.
This medication actually causes for your testicle to produce more testosterone by telling your brain to tell your testicle to make more testosterone. Additionally, there’s another medication that’s called hCG or human chorionic gonadotropin that can tell your testicle to make more of its own testosterone. So the answer is yes, you can tell your body to make more testosterone without giving yourself more testosterone either in the form of a medication that is put on your skin or injected subdermally, we can increase testosterone levels.
